Overview

PixelNote ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how PixelNote handles information and permissions while providing a primarily offline, privacy-first experience.

Data Collection

PixelNote minimally collects data only for specific features you choose to use. All core functionality works offline with data staying on your device.

Core App Usage

• No Personal Data: We do not collect names, emails, phone numbers, or any identifying information for core app functionality.
• No Image Data Storage: Images you create remain on your device for normal usage; we never permanently store them.
• No Text Data Storage: Text content you enter is processed locally and never permanently stored on our servers.
• No Usage Analytics: We do not track how you use the app.
• No Account Required: Registration or login is not needed.

Direct Share Feature (Optional)

When you choose to use the Direct Share feature:

• Temporary Image Upload: Your image is temporarily uploaded to our Cloudflare server for exactly 10 minutes.
• Shareable Link: You receive a shareable link that allows others to access the high-quality image.
• Automatic Deletion: After 10 minutes, the image and link are automatically and completely deleted from our server.
• No Permanent Storage: We do not keep copies of shared images beyond the 10-minute window.
• Your Choice: This feature is entirely optional; you can continue using the app without ever sharing images.

Feedback Feature (Temporary)

When you submit feedback through the in-app feedback feature:

• Feedback Content: Your written suggestions and feedback are collected to improve the app.
• Device Information: Device model, Android version, and screen size are automatically included to help with technical improvements.
• No Personal Identification: Feedback is anonymous and not linked to any personal identifiers.
• Temporary Feature: This feedback system is only active during development and will be completely removed after the stable launch.

Permissions

Camera

Purpose: To capture or embed images within the app.
Data Handling: All images are stored locally; none are shared or transmitted.

Storage

Purpose: To save and read files necessary for app functionality.
Data Handling: All files remain on your device.

Internet

Purpose: Used for three optional features:

• Advertisements: Display ads via Google AdMob.
• Direct Share: Temporarily upload images to Cloudflare for 10-minute shareable links (optional feature).
• Feedback Submission: Send anonymous feedback during development phase (temporary feature).

Data Handling: For ads, no personal or image data is transmitted by PixelNote to Google. For Direct Share, images are temporarily stored for exactly 10 minutes then permanently deleted. For feedback, only anonymous suggestions and basic device info are sent.

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob

PixelNote may display ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect information such as device ID, IP address, OS version, and general location. Note: This data is collected by Google, not by PixelNote, and we have no access to it. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Cloudflare (Direct Share Feature)

When you use the Direct Share feature, images are temporarily stored on Cloudflare's servers for exactly 10 minutes before automatic deletion. Cloudflare may log basic connection information (IP address, access time) as part of their standard service. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

Children's Privacy

PixelNote does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is intended for users aged 13 and older.

Image Sharing

Native Device Sharing

• You choose which apps to share through (WhatsApp, Messenger, etc.).
• Traditional sharing is handled by your device's native functionality.
• PixelNote does not access shared content after it leaves your device.

Direct Share Feature

• Optionally upload images to our Cloudflare server for high-quality sharing.
• Creates a shareable link that expires automatically after exactly 10 minutes.
• Images are completely deleted from our server after the 10-minute window.
• This feature is entirely optional and can be avoided if you prefer traditional sharing.

Data Security

Since most processing happens locally and minimal data is collected:

• Local Data: All core app data remains on your device with no risk of server breaches.
• Direct Share: Images are encrypted during transit and stored temporarily on secure Cloudflare servers.
• Automatic Deletion: Shared images are automatically and permanently deleted after exactly 10 minutes.
• Feedback Data: Anonymous feedback is stored securely and will be deleted when the feedback feature is removed post-launch.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Updates will appear on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.

Your Rights

Regarding your data rights:

• Core App Data: All data remains under your control on your device.
• Direct Share: Images are automatically deleted after 10 minutes; no manual deletion request needed.
• Feedback Data: Since feedback is anonymous, there is no personal data to access or delete. All feedback data will be automatically deleted when the feature is removed.
• Opt-out: Both Direct Share and Feedback features are completely optional and can be avoided.
